Biography
Wassem Alahmad (b. 1986, Qamishli, Syria) is a Kurdish-Syrian artist based in Celle, Germany since 2018. His self-guided practice centers on an ongoing search for forms that transcend mere visual experience—works meant to be felt and deeply absorbed.
Rather than explaining the world, his art proposes alternative ways of perceiving it. Each painting emerges from the dynamic tension between immediate perception, raw sensation, and a slower, more intimate understanding.
